Jason spent a decade in public service at the Arizona Attorney General’s Office and Maricopa County Public Defender’s Office where he gained significant courtroom experience having appeared in thousands of hearings. He has first-chair experience in more than 10 trials and has provided second-chair assistance in multiple more as an attorney-mentor. Jason has also conducted numerous evidentiary hearings and oral arguments, including oral argument before Division 1 of the Arizona Court of Appeals. He has written multiple appellate briefs and substantive motions.
In law school, Jason earned the Governor Raul Castro Scholarship for Academic Excellence, was a member of the Moot Court Honor Board, and was an Executive Editor for the Phoenix Law Review, where he also earned Outstanding Student Article distinction.
An avid outdoorsman, Jason also volunteers for the Arizona Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers as the state board’s legislative director.
